Big Stone County HRA is a public housing agency that helps provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Big Stone County HRA manages several funded programs and has a total of 63 subsidized affordable housing units for rental assistance. We are an income based housing organization which currently has:
43 unit apartment complex on beautiful Big Stone Lake (Ortonville)
15 family units scattered throughout Ortonville, Minnesota.
Lakeside Apartments was built in 1970. There were 50 Apartments available when the building first opened. Through the process of conversion there are not 43 apartments in the building. We also have 15 scattered site family units with various bedroom sizes. These are all income based with capped rent on the current fair market rent limits.
